Latest Changes on the Labour Market Testing (LMT) Advertisement Changes

For some of the employer-sponsored visas, LMT is a must requirement to ensure that the local market has been checked and no suitable Australian Citizen or Permanent Residents meet the skills and requirements for the nominated occupation.

As per the requirements, the advertisements were supposed to be published on two different job platforms for four weeks.

As we all know, recently there was an amendment in the requirement, where the advertisements were supposed to be published in two different platforms and the Employment Departments  Job active website.

Any nomination application lodged after 1st of October 2020, needs to have two advertisements in any of the suitable job platforms and in Job active website.

The other requirements for LMT are as below:

  • The advertisements have to be published in English
  • The advertisements must include the following information
  • Title or description of the position
  • Skills or experience required for the position
  • Sponsor company name, address
  • Salary of the position if it is lower than AUD 96,400
  • The type of position
  • The advertisements are valid for four months
